Shipra Suncity's Sarthak, true to his name, is already an achiever. A student of pre-primary (UKG) standard at DAV Public School, Shreshtha Vihar, he already has 25 prizes to his credit, including certificates, trophies and gift hampers. "When I grow up, I want to become a teacher first, a painter and then a doctor," says Sarthak, innocently.
An exception since childhood "We have been noticing since Sarthak's childhood that he has a very sharp memory, high concentration level, observation, imagination and intelligence. He uses his brain well and implements things in a well-organised manner," says Rachna, Sarthak's mother. He has always been interested in exploring and learning new things. He started playing the synthesizer when he was two years and nine months old. From there, he ventured into different fields like drawing, singing and recitation.
Inclination to wards art Drawing is his god-gifted talent. He sketches directly with a sketch pen. "When we saw him sketching, we realised his talent. Children of his age demand toys to play but he has always been attracted towards colouring books and puzzles," says Rakesh Kumar, a proud father. Sarthak loves to explain what he draws, "This is a juggler, this is a clown, and this is a trapeze. All of them are in a circus." Multifaceted Sarthak Apart from being a freehand artist, he is a good singer as well. He knows many patriotic songs by heart and enjoys singing them with great zeal. His nana and nani, who are artists themselves by profession, call him Picasso. All-rounder Sarthak also enjoys playing the synthesizer. Vande Mataram is his favourite on the synthesizer. A good speaker and actor, he has been bringing laurels to his school in poem recitation and fancy dress competitions.
His laurels Sarthak has been making his school proud since the age of four years by winning prizes in "on the spot" painting competitions within the school as well as at inter-school levels. He has been competing with children of his own age group as well as senior to him and has been winning prizes. Besides, he has also won prizes in poetry recitation (English and Hindi), clay moulding and talent hunt. He has won 17 prizes in just drawing. "We wish that he carries the legacy of his nana and nani ahead," say his parents. |
