It's girls all the way in Ghaziabad

They have proved the saying, 'shoot for the moon and you are sure to land among the stars'. Kamelia and Radhika of Ghaziabad made the city proud when they became the Delhi-NCR toppers in the ISC and CBSE 12th board exams. As soon as the result was declared, their happiness knew no bounds. The two determined girls are now all set to tread their own path and make a mark in society.

Well, if you are thinking the Delhi-NCR ISC topper is to be someone with thick glasses and a book worm, then this one can be little surprising. Bright and bubbly, Kamelia Majumdar has always been an all-rounder student. Always active in co-curricular activities of the school, Kamelia loves to dance, sing and enjoy all types of music.
According to her, dedication and determination are the keys to success. "I have enjoyed my school days a lot. I loved to participate in all sorts of competitions. I was always regular with my studies, but two months before the exams I got serious with it and that worked out for me," says Kamelia.
Take it light!
The only daughter of her parents, Kamelia always believed      in  enjoying whatever she does. "One should be regular with studies and most importantly at the same time should not compromise with their hobbies as well. One should pay equal attention to both academics as well as co-curricular activities, as hobbies refresh the mood and that helps in concentrating better," says Kamelia, a  resident of Chiranjiv Vihar who is right now enjoying her leisure period with family and friends.
Sailing through  difficulties
Completely  spellbound with her success, she admits that it was not at all rosy for her. "There were times when I got frustrated with the pressure but my self-motivation kept me pressing hard towards my goal,” she said.
The credit goes to her parents, teachers and friends. "Without  them I wouldn't have scored anything like this. They were constantly boosting up my morale and were really very supportive," says Kamelia.
Survival strategy
95% scorer in X board exams, Kamelia wants to pursue Stats honours from Delhi University. "I don't want to get into regular engineering but want to do something different in life," says Kamelia. I take life as a challenge. To others, all that I can say is trust your instincts and keep saying to yourself, "I am capable and I can do it."
