HUDA has vowed to complete all the projects related to traffic at Sohna Road by 2012 end.

Facing numerous problems due to several development projects? There's something to cheer for you finally, Haryana Urban Development authority (HUDA) has vowed to complete all the projects related to traffic at Sohna Road and DLF area in Gurgaon by 2012 end.
HUDA is currently working on Rs 347-crore Shankar Chowk Golf Course Road development project. This over 7-km-long road which runs from Shankar Chowk to Rotary to DLF golf course will not have traffic signals. This project is a joint venture of HUDA and DLF. The plan of this project has been finalised and it has got nod from state government.
By the end of this year, work of widening of the road from Sohna Road to Shankar Chowk flyover of Delhi-Gurgaon expressway to Bristol Chowk to DLF Golf Course Road to Sector 56 will also end. On both sides of the roads, a road of six to eight meters width will also be constructed. Along with this, the construction of two flyovers and three underpasses will also end. Saplings will also be planted on the sides of the roads which are being widened.
People, who reside near Sohna Road, Shankar Chowk, Gurgaon Mehrauli Road, Shikander Chowk and in DLF III, II, Nathupur, DLF PH-1, MLL Flats, Sectors 27, 28, 42, 43, 56, Sun City and many more, will be benefitted by these projects. The work of Metro in DLF will also get completed by 2013.
 Rakesh Mathur, a resident said, "Nowadays, we spend a lot of time in commuting which is very troublesome. It's good that the authorities are carrying out development projects as they are for our benefit but they should also see that they end properly on time. We hope that the authorities keep their promise and end the work by December."
HUDA administrator Parveen Kumar said, "Most of the formalities of the projects have been completed and widening of roads will be started soon. Along with flyovers, we will also construct service lanes for residents' convenience. Hopefully, commuters will get relief from traffic woes after the completion of these projects."
