AAI lifts Chief Minister Football trophy Airport Authority of India (AAI) has won Chief Minister Football trophy (2009) played against Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in the finals at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi. All India Public Sector Sports Development Board President and AAI Sports Control Board's incharge, and Board president VP Aggrawal congratulated the winning team for their excellent performance. On this occasion, T. Premnath, Executive Director (Administration) and president, AAI sports division board congratulated the players. By winning this trophy AAI Football team has been qualified to play in Delhi Football Association, senior division. AAI is encouraging its promising players by giving scholarships and contract. In the current year, 50 players were awarded trophies in different sports like cricket, football, badminton, swimming, shooting and 19 players got selected for contracts. These players will represent AAI in football, badminton, table tennis, shooting, boxing and chess.
Greno Authority conducts BHS-012 draws successfully Greater Noida's BHS-012 scheme draw was held on July 12 for Sector Eta and on July 13 for Sector Omicron at Community Centre Delta-II. The draw was attended by PC Gupta, deputy CEO, Greater Noida Authority, RK Dev, chairman of the draw committee, Bhagwan Singh, GM Finance, Meena Bhargav, Sr. manager and Alok Nath, DGM planning. Karunesh Sharma was the compere of the show and he also managed the draws. "We allowed only people carrying receipt of application and ID proof to enter the draw area. About 3200 flats in Eta, Omricron, Ju, Swarn Nagaro sectors were allotted amongst 10,000 applications. The draw was held manually by picking up slips," said PC Gupta. Close circuit cameras were installed to keep an eye on the proceedings of the draw and to bring in more transparency.
Sports camp enhances students' confidence Kothari International School, Sector 50 organised a sports camp on July 16. The activities included lawn tennis, cricket, swimming, yoga, athletics, football, skating, etc. It was organised to create a positive and supportive learning environment that also enabled the students to make new friends and have lots of fun. Experienced coaches conducted the camp which was for students of Class I to XI. All activities were tailored with the intent to improve both individual fundamentals and levels of play through age sensitive programmes. A large number of students enrolled at the camp and it was immensely successful in enhancing children's self confidence and social skills along with their sporting talent. |
