City DM discusses city's civic problems with officials

A meeting was held at the Collectorate recently in view of recent demonstration and sabotage in various power sub-stations of the city. Heads of different departments, police-administration and GNN officers including SSP Raghubir Lal, SP City AK Vijeta, ASP Rural MS Beg, city commissioner Basant Lal, CMO Dr AK Dhawan, ADM City SK Srivastava, RTO Lalji Choudhary, GDA VC NK Chaudhary and officer of Power Corporation, UP Bridge Corporation, Water Works and excise department were present. The meeting was presided over by DM city Hridyesh Kumar.
The officials were asked to find out the solution of the growing problems in the city. In his address DM said, "The officers are directly responsible to public and their grievances."
Arun Lal from Power Corporation accepted that there is order from the administration to supply 18 hours electricity but due to local faults in some colonies it was supplied only 12 hours in a day. However, DM was not satisfied by the answer and told the officers to maintain their onerous responsibility with utmost sincerity.
Reacting on the recent sabotage in few sub-stations of the city he said, "The concerned officer or duty in-charge is liable to calm the public by giving valid reason for any inconvenience occurred in the area; whether it is question of water-power, sanitation and liquor trafficking." |
