Janaspandana function not yet held in Domlur Ward
After the recent Corporation election a notice was given the commissioner of BBMP that Janaspandana will be held twice a month. It is to be held by the BBMP Joint Engineer or the Assistant Engineer of each ward on the first and third Saturday of every month.
This programme is a platform where the authorities and the citizens meet. But this is not being held at Domlur Ward. "We never had Janaspandana in our ward. We have requested the corporator as well as the ward engineer. They informed us that it would start from next month," said Janakiraman Reddy, president, Domlur Layout RWA.
It was also informed that the programme would be held under the chairmanship of the respective ward corporator. "For the past three months, I don't have any assistant engineer in my ward. I can't start such programmes till the engineer reports. After the engineer is transferred, I will start Janaspandana," said Geeta Srinivas Reddy, Corporator, Domlur Ward.
As per the notice, Janaspandana should be held between 9 am and 11 am. The other BBMP officials in the ward said they did not have such meetings as they do cleaning programme every Saturday. "On Saturdays we have an intensive cleaning programme from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. The Janaspandana programme will be held in future," said John, assistant executive engineer, BBMP, Domlur Ward.
